My dad arrived with a shower gift for us... "It's too big," he had said, "to bring to the shower itself." We had a good idea what it might be, which was confirmed beyond our wildest dreams when he did arrive: my father had bought us our baby's crib!

It's a really beautiful honey oak type wood, and it's a 4-in-1 Lifetime Crib (meaning it can be a crib, then a toddler bed, then a day bed, then a twin-bed). John spent the afternoon after my father left putting it together, and now it sits in the baby room's. We still need the mattress, but I could resist putting the Mommy & Baby Bear onto the rails and draping the beautiful blanket made by Liz (though the colors were chosen by Nate, as she constantly points out) over the front railing.

The nursery is slowly taking shape... so amazing. I cannot believe how close we are to having our child. How much everything seems to be changing. It's exciting and overwhelming all at once.
